Set up Data Streaming for Early Tesla Model S & X

Tesla enabled data streaming capabilities on 1 September 2025 for Early Model S and X vehicles with Intel Atom computers. This results in more frequent and reliable data updates from the vehicle to Standard Fleet. 

However, action is required: vehicles that are not updated to enable data streaming may receive less frequent updates or be disconnected.

To enable data streaming:
1. Update the software (minimum version 2025.20).
2. Enable “Allow Third-Party App Data Streaming” on the Safety screen in the vehicle.

If this option does not appear after the software update, the vehicle may not have hardware that supports data streaming, and no further action is needed.

Tips: In the main Standard Fleet Vehicle List, you can sort the Alerts ↓ column by vehicles that need action. If you have vehicles that need data streaming enabled, you will see a banner at the top of the list. Click it to view the list of vehicles affected and their individual status.
